Job Description:

    • 1) Administers audiometric screening and threshold tests, generally pure-tone air conduction, to individuals or groups, under supervision of AUDIOLOGIST or OTOLARYNGOLOGIST.
    • 2) Fits earphones on subject and provides instruction on procedures to be followed.
    • 3) Adjusts audiometer to control sound emitted and records subjects’ responses.
    • 4) Refers individuals to AUDIOLOGIST for interpretation of test results and need for more definitive hearing examination or to physician for medical examination.
